Product Features
What file formats can I upload?
AutoSCI accepts PDF and Word (.docx) files. After upload, AI automatically parses the paper structure, extracting sections, figures, equations, and references.
What export formats are available?
You can export to LaTeX (with complete style files), PDF (real typeset preview), and Word (.docx).
How accurate is the paper structure parsing?
AutoSCI uses large language models and GROBID engine to parse paper structure with over 95% accuracy for titles, abstracts, sections, figures, equations, and references.
Is AutoSCI free to use?
AutoSCI is currently in public beta and core features are free. Premium features may be introduced in the future.
Templates
How many templates does AutoSCI support?
Currently 50+ templates covering top conferences (AAAI, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ACL), major journals (IEEE, Springer, Elsevier), and Chinese university thesis templates. More are being added regularly.
How do I switch target templates?
In the editor, select the Export function and choose your target template from the list. AutoSCI automatically adjusts page limits, fonts, margins, citation format, and all other formatting details.
Can I add custom templates?
Custom template support is coming soon. You'll be able to upload YAML configuration and style files to quickly add new templates.
Formatting
Does AutoSCI automatically convert citation formats?
Yes. AutoSCI converts between APA, IEEE, Chicago, GB/T 7714, and other citation formats based on the target template requirements.
How are LaTeX equations handled?
AutoSCI fully supports LaTeX math equations, including inline and display equations. Equations are automatically recognized during PDF parsing and preserved correctly during export.
How accurate is reference extraction?
AutoSCI uses GROBID combined with CrossRef, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex databases for reference extraction and metadata completion, typically achieving over 90% coverage.
