1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing, registering for, uploading content to, purchasing from, or subscribing to AutoSCI, you agree to these Terms of Service.
The AutoSCI service is provided and operated by the AutoSCI team. In these Terms, “AutoSCI”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the AutoSCI team.
2. Description of the service
AutoSCI is an online tool for academic paper parsing, editing, formatting checks, and exports.
AutoSCI is designed to improve formatting efficiency. We do not guarantee publication, acceptance, review outcomes, or error-free results in every case.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate, complete, and reachable account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- We may suspend or restrict accounts involved in abuse, fraud, unusual activity, or violations of these Terms.
4. Your content and paper ownership
You retain all rights in the papers, figures, references, and other content that you upload, save, edit, or export through AutoSCI. AutoSCI does not claim ownership of your content.
To provide upload, parsing, storage, editing, export, customer support, security, and service improvement functions, you grant AutoSCI a limited, non-exclusive, revocable authorization to process your content only as necessary to provide the service.
- You must have the rights required to upload, process, and export your content.
- You are responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate to upload confidential, sensitive, or restricted information.
5. Pricing, exports, and subscriptions
- Free accounts may save up to one paper and receive up to three free exports of watermarked PDF files each month.
- Single exports are currently sold at $1.99 per export. One successful export creates a watermark-free export package containing PDF, Word, and LaTeX files.
- The monthly plan price is currently TBD. Once launched, the published site pricing will apply, and each billing cycle will include 30 watermark-free export credits.
- After included credits are used, subscribed users may purchase additional exports at the then-current listed price.
- Successfully delivered export packages may be downloaded again without additional charge.
6. Auto-renewal and cancellation
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel before the next billing date, and the subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Cancellation stops future renewals only and does not retroactively refund the current billing cycle unless our Refunds & Billing Policy or applicable law states otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
- You may not use the service for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, abusive, quota-circumventing, or system-disruptive purposes.
- You may not use the service to distribute malware, process data without authorization, or handle illegal content.
8. Intellectual property
The AutoSCI software, interface, text, trademarks, and site content are owned by AutoSCI or the relevant rights holders.
Third-party templates, style files, citation styles, and public formatting rules remain the property of their original rights holders.
9. Availability and limitation of liability
We may update, adjust, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, pricing, or quotas, and will provide notice where reasonable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoSCI is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of data, failed submissions, or academic outcomes that do not meet your expectations.
To the extent permitted by law, AutoSCI’s total liability for any single claim will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the relevant service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Applicable law and contact
Any matter not expressly addressed in these Terms will be handled in accordance with applicable law. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with applicable law, the applicable law will prevail.
AutoSCI may provide reasonable explanations regarding service features, billing rules, subscription status, export records, and refund handling, but such explanations do not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact the AutoSCI team using the public support email shown on the Site.
