From upload and target template setup to export, format your paper in minutes.
Getting Started
Step 1：Upload Paper
Drag your paper file into the upload area, or click to select a file. Supports PDF and Word (.docx) formats.
Step 2：AI Parsing
After upload, AutoSCI AI automatically parses the paper structure, identifying titles, abstracts, sections, figures, equations, and references.
Step 3：Edit Online
Review and adjust parsing results in the structured editor. You can modify content, add information, and reorder sections.
Step 4：Select Template & Export
Choose your target template in the export panel. If the target is not listed, import a new template first, then generate a formatted LaTeX, PDF, or Word file.
Conference / Journal Submission
When converting between conference or journal formats, AutoSCI handles the major differences automatically:
- Layout adjustment: single or double column switching, margins, and font sizes
- Citation conversion: IEEE numbered, APA author-year, Chicago, and more
- Page limit check: automatic detection of page count compliance
- Abstract word count: verification against target template limits
Thesis Formatting
Thesis formatting usually requires cover pages, abstracts, tables of contents, body text, references, and acknowledgements. AutoSCI helps with:
- Automatic cover generation based on school-specific fields
- Roman numeral and Arabic numeral page numbering rules
- GB/T 7714 compliant references for Chinese university templates
- Fonts and line spacing aligned with thesis requirements
Custom Template Import
If the template library does not yet include your target journal, conference, or school, import a custom template from the editor. This is useful for resubmissions, department-specific requirements, advisor-provided Word files, or official LaTeX style packages.
- Supported sources: Word templates, LaTeX projects, .cls/.sty/.bst style files, ZIP packages, written format specs, and journal or school name lookup.
- Confirmation flow: AutoSCI extracts layout, cover, section, citation, and export rules, then asks you to confirm fields and preview validation before saving.
- Where it works: the generated template is saved to your account and can be used for template selection, diagnosis, PDF preview, and Word/LaTeX/PDF export.
Workflow
- 1Sign in and open the editor.
- 2Click Import New Template at the bottom of the template selector.
- 3Upload files, describe the format, or enter a journal/school name.
- 4Review extracted template information and save after preview validation.
- 5Select the new private template and export your paper.
